Hi All,
It's been awhile since I've addressed any issues brought up here. My Magnette (56 righthand drive ZA) is an original car, except tires and exhaust. It runs and drives as they did back in 56. So many cars have been brought up to more acceptable driving standards, and I appreciate that! I personally want to to keep the nostalgic feeling of driving as it was back then. I even enjoy having to look for roads to drive that maintain that nostalgic feel. At some time in the future a new owner may decide to 'update' it but that will be up to them, I plan on keeping the original feel of the car. A couple of years ago at one of our local car shows I let a gentleman (and his kids) sit in and climb around the car (I usually leave it open for people to get in and 'feel') the first comment out of the man's mouth was "wow this even SMELL like a true British car". I found it interesting as to what strikes a cord with people. All this being said My car will be needing new sill's and some rust repair to the rear quarters, so there will be some new paint in its future. I hope that won't ruin the 'real british car smell'. Sorry for the rambling.
Well now you know why you don't hear from me often. Steve Wagoner
