[Zmagnette] Original door seal design

Thanks David and Michael.

I’ll try to dig out my pictures tonight. I took a bunch of shots when I first got my Magnette and stripped the interior of stuff that would aggravate corrosion with the car sitting outside. The carpets and door seals all came out, but I photographed the heck out of everything as I was doing so.

Kelvin.

Hi Kelvin,

Most if what we have now days most likely not original. Would it be worth giving Todd Clarke a call? He seems to know all about this stuff.

That said, my 2 owner ZB is very original but that's in Australia! My Varitone here in the UK had definitely had it replaced. It's got a plush finish fabric, whereas the ZB in Oz has a woven type of fabric. I seem to remember that the seal on the Oz car is like the MGA seal that I got from Todd Clarke.

Cheers,

David

Greetings.

Could someone please explain to me how the original multi piece door seals were installed. If I am remembering correctly, there was a fabric covered section. A rubber section and clips.

I took photos when I took my car apart, but they are in print at home and I can’t reference them. Guess, I’m going to scan them tonight.

Thanks

Kelvin.
