Thanks for the reminder Allen. I'm hoping to have papers on the crusty 1958 I got from Jon soon.

Kelvin.

I’m long-overdue in reminding you to do this, but if you have a Magnette that is not registered with NAMGAR, please do so. It makes no difference whether you are a NAMGAR member or not, we rely on NAMGAR to maintain a registry of all known Z Magnettes in North America, and they cheerfully do it for the benefit of all: NAMGAR members and nonmembers alike. And they do it for free.

So, if you haven’t registered your car, or if you’re not sure whether you have or not, get in touch with:

Ben Nolan<http://www.namgar.com/about/staff_profile/ben_nolan/>
Phone: (856) 358-2645
registrar at namgar.com<mailto:registrar at namgar.com>

Ben will gladly record the info from your car, and our records of North American Magnettes will be more complete. BTW!!! The same applies to all your parts cars - even the ones that have or will have ended up at the crusher. If you see a Magnette rotting away in a field someplace, do the same thing. Get whatever numbers you can from the car - most importantly the chassis (VIN) number. Even if the car is already registered, the location and condition in which you found it might be a really valuable addition to Register records. Suppose the last entry was in 1994 and the car had just completed restoration in Maryland, and 22 years later you find it rotting in a cornfield 35 miles SW of Bismark ND, that tells an interesting, if sad, story. Every Magnette you own or see should be considered for registration, regardless of ownership and/or membership.

This is a really important part of our function, and our shared function with NAMGAR, and I have been remiss in not mentioning it at least annually.

Many thanks, gang! You’ll be glad you did…

Allen
