Biota

There were plenty of Mini-based kits in the 1960s and 1970s but all sturggled with the height of the Mini engine/transmission unit. John Houghton's Biota which was premiered in 1968 was a bold attempt to disguise the Mini powertrain with an attractive body. Initial response was O.K. but demand outstripped production possibilities. The project survived until 1976, but barely 30 Biotas were ever completed.
