Ferrari F40 The car to beat for many manufacturers this was for years the fastest road legal car on earth. It was introduced in July, 1987 and was produced from 1988 until, I think 1991 or 1992.
The shape, the engine, the cockpit, the speed - everything was in a pack to form a classic. The 3-liter V-8 engine produced 351.5 kW (478 bhp) at 7000 rpm and had a massive torque of 577 Nm at 4000 rpm.
This engine was derived from the GTO racer. The max speed was an amazing 324 km/h.
Cable Evoluziones
This car, based on the Ferrari 328 bear very resemblances to the F40 and their GTO replica.
Among other things the engine is flipped to the north/south configuration found in the F40 and mated to a Porsche 950 ZF transaxle.
The Evoluziones closely match the F40 when it comes to creature comforts, meaning very little.
While they do offer air conditioning as an option, the interior is pure racing.
A new Turbo system has been designed for the Evoluziones which utilizes much shorter tubes into the turbo, helping to contribute to the faster spool-up and better response.
