Méray passenger cars

Latest change: 17 November, 1996

Just before the economic Depression hit Méray developed a very small two-seater on the chassis of the three-wheeler van
The two-seater with Endre.. A few years later in more devastated form
Only 3-4 mini-Méray were built. They were powered by a 600 cc JAP engine.
A picture, dated 1935 in the family album shows the happy family with an interesting three-wheeler passenger car. It had four wheels!

At least another Méray passenger car was built, around 1931. It's surrounded by mystery.

The first picture is a retouched illustration found in the family album, the second is from the Zsuppán collection.
István Zsuppán, publisher of the way-too-unverified book: Hungarian cars found this photograph in a photoalbum. That album belonged to a man who before the War worked for the Budapest Electrical Company and the caption said it was powered by a 1100 cc Blackburne engine. In 1931 Méray took over the assests of another Hungarian motorcycle builder, Nova. They used 550 cc Blackburne units...
