In 1962, DKW-Vemag decided to produce a sophisticated two door model. The design was made by Studio Fissore (Italy), only for the Brazilian car maker. The DKW-Fissore was expensive and had a more powerful 980cc engine with 60 bhp. It was produced between 1964 and 1967 - a total of 2.489 were built.

In Argentina a different version of the Fissore was produced for a few years.
