Very interesting. An old college buddy of mine bought an Alpine new in
'63 which he sold a few years later. Sometime in the early 70's I was
visiting him and his wife who were living in an apartment complex at the
time. I recall him telling me about a neighbor a couple of doors down
who had a '63. My friend had tried to give this Alpine owner his old
shop manual, which he had found stash away in a box. But the guy didn't
want the manual because he hated his Alpine and was having a heck of a
time trying to sell it. Too bad this guy didn't take manual. Hell,
wish I had taken it!
Well, I'm planning on giving my friend a call over the holidays.
I'll ask him if he still has the manual. If he doesn't, not sure I'll
tell him how much it's worth now; might make him feel bad.
