Hi folks,

After about 15 months with my Series V Alpine, I've come to
appreciate how wonderful a car it really is. My one
disappointment, which I bet is quite common, is that the car just
doesn't have the pep that I wish it had. I'm looking for ideas
on what to try, but I have a few limitations. First, I really
enjoy the stock engine bay look. The classic look -- the way
Rootes designed it -- is too pleasing to me to mess it up for a
few BHP. So, Weber conversions and V-6/8 conversions are out. I
know that Holbay offers an option that uses the stock carb set-up
and provides an increase in BHP and torque does anyone have any
experience with it. BTW, how would someone go about dealing with
Holbay on something like this. Would you have to ship your head
and cam shaft to England, or could Holbay provide/sell specs so that a
local place could do the work. Any ideas other than Holbay? I'm
looking forward to your thoughts.
