Having owned one for 7 years I don't really either! But they
work great..

Basically you just change the intake and exhaust.
And instead of buying expensive cam and valve hardware, you
just grind out the ports... there are many good articles available
as well as shops that do it. You can get more than 200HP for a
street motor that will last (normally aspirated).

Well, Mazda is 25% owned by Ford! My new Ford Probe is all Mazda
mechanically!
