Sounds like good advice to me. There are also "ruined" (IMO) but perfectly
driveable Tigers with unsightly fender flares and the like which could be had
for much less than a stocker. This would be a great alternative to a
conversion since the assumption is that if you are considering a conversion you
don't really care about all the originality stuff anyway.
