I am new to this mail list and thought I would write a note to
introduce myself (or my Alpine).
I drive/work-on/play with...... a Red 66 Alpine V (1725cc) in basicly
good condition (VIN B395001546 matching numbers). When I say basicly
good that means that on any give day I can drive, but that far from
every thing works (but that is then norm for this class of cars).
I also have a list of projects I would like to accomplish on the
car over the next year or so..... Fix ALL me electrics so that
on any given day the gages all work (sound familiar). But the challenge
I would really like input on is how to convert from a Standard four
speed gearbox to a OverDrive gearbox. What all needs to be replaced?
Are the parts available and how dear are they going to be? This Alpine
is my second (former a 65 IV ) and I have never heard of a conversion
for the transmission.
Thanks for welcomeing me to the mail list.
Good motoring,
