Well, I'm not even close - I've had mine since '88, though it also
has been my daily driver (more or less) since then. It was literally
someone elses parts car when I bought it (missing all the good stuff).
I fixed it up back then, concentrating mostly on the mechanicals.
Up to last year, I hadn't had to do any repair on it other than the
usual oil changes and occasional tune-ups. I rebuilt the tranny and
had the rear end rebuilt last fall. It has actually been quite
reliable, although it still leaks like a sieve (even with the
hardtop!). It really needs a more complete cosmetic restoration
though. Maybe next year...
I'm getting ready to take it on a semi-long road trip this weekend
for the first time in awhile - and keeping my fingers crossed!
