Well, add my name to the list of pointy fin owners who would
reluctantly admit that the Series III is probably the best choice. My reason
would be the suspension differences and the trunk space. Also if you are
lucky to get one with an overdrive, you get the 3.89 rear end rather than
the 4.22 - a big bonus. Like Kevin, I've toured in mine for a week and it
is tight unless you use the space behind the seat - then you can't leave it
parked anywhere for fear of someone ripping your stuff off.
The only downside is that you lose the rounded hardtop which looks much
nicer on the early Series, and I think also the all metal ragtop cover,
which looks pretty smart too
Whatever you decide, its another Alpine on the road and that's what
counts !!
