        To me this sounds more like a fuel mix problem not an ignition
        'spark' problem. I would suggest that you get on of the 'blue plugs'
        that help you get the correct fuel-air mix to the cylinders. I have
        seen these for sale from SunBeam Spicalties in the US, don't know about
        the UK.

        I will be visiting the UK in August (6-10 in London, 11th in Nothindham,
        and then in Belfast for a bit. Are there any Alpine parts/information
        in these locations?
