From what I remember reading about the Holbay engine in the recent issues of
"THE HORN", the flywheel used for the Holbay was the same as used on all
Alpines prior to the switch to the all-synchro box on Series IV, which at
least LOOKS beefier than the later model. There's no mention of lightening
it. I wondered if they intentionally used a heavier flywheel to make it run
smoother or whether they chose it because it was simply big enough in
diameter to accomodate the larger 8" clutch?. After all, Holbay did the same
thing to the head by narrowing the inlet ports from the prototype model (and
reducing the hp from 122 to 105 in the process).

BTW, there's a good Holbay article that appeared on this list a while back.
 I believe its accessible through this list's archives, but you'll have to
find someone else who knows how to locate it.

Also, Holbay runs an ad monthly in THE HORN. They will send you a catalog of
parts and services upon request.
