I don't know. I've seen at least half-a-dozen Series V's in the Seattle are

with OD on the ID tag. Its been more often the case that the OD gave out
long ago, and not having an easy or cheap way to fix it, the owner junked th

OD for a non-OD box.
OD was always optional and not included in the basic price.
Perhaps you were thinking of "GT" rather than "OD" Series V's. I've never
seen a Series V GT, but they sold a bunch of them in England. Has anyone ou
t
there ever seen a Series V GT in the U.S.? Canada?

P.S. For some reason I recall the OD indicator light being yellow, but not
in the Rootes style (with or w/o eyelid). It was more the generic British
kind, perhaps round with octoganal lens. Located in the top left-hand corne
r
(almost hidden), above the ammeter.
