needed:Recommendations?

Does anyone have information of which ball bearing clutch throw-out to use?
Any information will be appreciated. Also, I have always been told that a
1600cc head and a 1725 head are interchangable. Are they? I have also been
told that the valves are slightly larger in a 1725 head. Anyone know of any
other differences? Thanx. Tom

Yes, the head on my engine was welded. I had corrosion through the water
passages that popped straight into the cylinder. (Somebody say "blow-by"?).

Many heads are available through clubs swaps, but if yours isn't that bad
would you really want to buy one you DIDN'T know about? No new heads are to
my knowledge available.

See Above.

My rebuild has close to 8,000 mi. on it and is just loosening up. Oh yeah,
don't forget to make sure the oil cooler passages are clear and try out a
ball bearing clutch throw-out (vs. old carbon type). See the Alpine web
pages for more Bullet-proof runner tips. Good Luck!
