A guy I know down in Campbell (near San Jose, CA) has a Series III car
minus drive train that he wants to part with for $300. There is some
rust in the body and some funky fender flares riveted on. A friend of mine
has considered buying it to modify it heavily but we would all like to
see someone take it on as a resoration project. If anyone is interested
in it, e-mail me and I will give you the guys phone number.

Also, does anyone know what was used to finish the lip under the dash
pad? I have heard that this strip was originally black painted
cardboard, but I have seen some people glue in black vinyl.

***** NOTES from Jay Laifman (JLAIFMAN (at) PNM) at 11/2/95 10:24a

The original in my Series V was black cardboard. I do not think it was
painted black, but constructed black through and through. To replace it
I went to a local art supply -- Aaron Bros. - and bought black
cardboard.
