>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Not only was the speedo not working but what did they do to
the body of that
poor Alpine. Those masked off black areas on the trunk lid and door and
missing hub caps looked liked someone was purposely trying to make the car
look cheesy. I couldn't tell exactly but there even seemed to be
some rust in the rocker panel on the passenger side.
As for joining our group, you're right on there. I believe I heard her say at
the beginning of the show "I had car trouble - it's a classic - Sunbeam
Alpine. I'm restoring it myself."

This was a rerun of the first episode. Later on she finishes up the paint
job to a wedgewood blue. The show however doesn't improve as much as the
car does. My wife likes the show and I tolerate it for the car scenes.
I think some supernatural force is forcing my hand to buy a Tiger right now!
Here's why:
1) My birthday was about 2 weeks ago which "coincidentally" just happened to
be thr first time in about 18 months I've seen a Tiger in the Atlanta paper
2) My regular car (87 Nissan Sentra R.I.P.) "Ran out of oil" (Oops, How's
that happen ;-)) in the middle of nowhere on Wednesday. The value of the car
dropped from $3,500 to $100 real quick. The $100 the junk yard gave me just
about covered the towing.
