Subject: The British fleet
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello Alpine and Imp lovers out there !
Here's my story:
We my dad and I are the proud owners of what neighbours call the British fleet.
It consists of the following cars:
Sunbeam Alpine series IV GT with overdrive:
It has a softtop which is unusual and the hardtop, it's currently under restoration.
It's chassis number is B 9402737 GT OD LRO color code CC19 moonstone white.
The bodywork was very poor buckets full of glasfiber, paper, chickenwire, wood and
lead came out leaving big holes everywhere.
At the moment most of the holes are filled with metal again, all is done by
ourselves.
The car is driveable again after putting new fuel pipes on, new exhaust system,
the wiring has been repaired and reinstalled as is the control box and dynamo.
The only problem I have is finding the right mixture code for the colour which
is 19 moonstone white.
Can anyone of you supply me with that mixture code ?
The rest of the fleet is:
Hillman Imp '66 lightblue with black interior
Singer Chamois '66 maroon with black interior
Sunbeam Californian '67 white with black interior
Sunbeam Imp '69 goldensand metallic with black interior
Sunbeam Chamois '70 tangerine with white interior
Sunbeam Chamois '70 goldensand metallic with black interior
Sunbeam Stiletto '70 white with black interior
Sunbeam Stiletto '70 electric blue with black interior
and a Jaguar XJ6 4.2 swb series I 1969 british racing green with cream interior
All cars (and some more) have been restored by us in the past 18 years and I'm a
member of The Imp Club since 1984.
Are there any other Imp drivers out there hope to hear from you !!!???
