I beg to differ. I hear that car companies rate each part by how
many miles each part will last. For my wife's '88 Honda Prelude 2.0si, I
think they calculated 44,000 miles for just about every part. Certainly,
up until then, it ran like clockwork. But, then pow! Sort of like one
of those cars you see in the movies where they slam the door and
everything immediately falls off the car. The one that pushed us over
the edge was the rotors going twice. The guy had the nerve to tell my
wife that the rotor was burned out because she braked too gently and
should have been hitting the brakes closer to intersections.
