Alternator II

I think that there might have been some confusion in my reply to your
alternator e-mail (which you might be reading after this one). The coil
in parallel to the light was shown in the Z wiring diagram, not the
Alpine diagram. Also, I mentioned that the light finds ground through
the coils of the Z alternator when the alternator is not charging. This
might be the purpose of the simulator. That is, whether it is true or
the Sunbeam people thought it was true, the coils on the Lucas
distributor might not provide the ground necessary, so the simulator may
provide it. Just a thought.
