I dug out the following from my ancient files:

39 carnival red

Lacquer: DuPont # 8415 LH

Enamel: DuPont # 84016 DH

I'm sure other brands could supply the same color. I just happen
to have used DuPont. No, this is not an endorsement and I don't work
for them, etc. etc.
