I don't know what the deal is with these "new mail service" spams. I
certainly hope it's not some new way to easily spam a bunch of mailing
lists, but the cynic in me fears that it is.
Reply to the spam if you wish. However, I ask that you not copy the
lists; reply only to the sender.
The plan is still to move both the lists to MJB's new server once it
is set up and running. If we continue to get spam on the lists, I'll
take a vote of the list members to see if we want to configure our
lists so that only subscribed members can send mail to our lists.
This will help somewhat to keep out the spam.
