I've recently joined the alpine fray. My first excursion into Britdom is a
'72 MGB-GT. I've just completed the restoration of the suspension and
driveline. Next - Rust never sleeps- Body work time. Anyhow, I've been
browsing the mail archives - lots of philosophical debate on the unholy
defiling of the "true" Alpine.
I've got a '67 Alpine basket case which I am planning to fully restore.
Since its in such pathetic shape, I don't feel bad about making any wacko
mods necessary to make it a reliable daily driver. Enough said. Where can
I get some nitty gritty details regarding the complete RX_7 driveline
conversion. Details like: Do all RX-7 versions require transmission tunnel
bashing/chopping/welding. Engine /Transmission mounting Brackets -
Drawings/sketches? Radiator, electrical, hydraulic clutch, chasis
strengthening. Pardon the stream on conscious writing. How about the rear
end and driveshaft?
Oh yeah, any steering clearance problems or suggestions regarding altenator
upgrades.
Other than that, I think I've got it all figured out. Ha, Ha, Ha
Thanks for any advice you can offer. Brian N. Corrigan
