Sunbeam party time

In last week's listing of events, I failed to mention the San Diego
Sunbeamers infamous invasion of Mexico. That's right, this Sunday Feb 11 is
another foray in search of lobster, frijoles, guacamole, margaritas and
cerveza! Join up in Mission Valley at 10AM for a day of fiesta en route to
and from Puerto Nuevo (Newport en Ingles), a small lobster fishing village
about 30 miles south of the border. For more info, post me or
TEdlund(at)aol.com.

Tigers United location is changed to Four Points Hotel in Bakersfield. I
guess the excitement of all those thundering V-8s flat scared Rio Bravo out
of business.

Ramon - Ve haf vays of knowink thees thinks. The answer is in your mail box
when you get home, slow poke..

Terry - you are correct. My four happy days of Tiger ownership were 1/22/65,
7/22/66, 7/25/94, and 6/9/95. That was in the boating sense. As for Four
Points Hotel at Montgomery Airfield (is that Sheraton branch seeking after
car clubs?), San Diego British Car Day's primary area is a very nice lawn
behind the hotel bordering the airfield with adjacent paved parking lots if
needed. Better price? Well, the cost to the San Diego British Car Club
Council will be about the same, although there is an incentive which will
reduce the fee if enough rooms are rented. Del Mar has changed their program
so that it is impractical to return. Discounting all the other nit-picky
crap, they insist that this year all attendees pay a $5 parking lot fee to
get to the area that has been rented to park the entered cars. Makes cent$
to them but not to us. Missile Park is in limbo as to ownership and won't
make any commitments.
