You said series IV automatic didn't you. Someone correct me if I'm wrong,
but didn't the automatic have an enlarged transmission tunnel and wouldn't
this make the series IV automatic the most desirous Alpine for a potential
engine swap?

I've heard the 2.6 liter 60 degree V-6 out of a Capri fits very nicely.
