Terry Edlund asked about the magazine a couple of days ago. On Jackie's last
visit from England, she brought me copies of the "last 11 issues" acquired at
an autojumble.

The August 1967 issue was the final one. The editorial eulogy stated that it
"was started by the Rootes Group in 1931, and has appeared regularly every
month since, except for the war years 1939-45."

The content of the mag was about 60% general motoring and 40% relating to
Rootes Group vehicles. Advertising fills about half the mag - copies of
current Rootes ads and "puff" pieces from suppliers. The model emphasis
during the final year was on the Hillman Hunter and various Imp incarnations.

Interested in trivia? Irvin Seat Belts were sole suppliers to Rootes Group.
 Is your restoration really accurate?
