I have a series II car that I bought from a guy that blew up the engine.
I swapped a series V motor into it and am running all of the original
series II accessories including carbs. Originally the car was running
very rich because the larger displacement engine increased the manifold
vacuum. I used a color tune to help me dial in the carbs with larger
choke tubes and different jets. But once I got the carbs close, I found
the old fashion way of tuning carbs to the best lean idle and using a
carb synch was better than the color tune.
