tly rebuilt my series II zenith carbsand am having a hard time getting
them to idle at all.
What may be the problem is the slow speed adjustment screw.
When I got the car it ran fine and so whenm I reassembled the carbs I was
sure to put everything back where it was.
My question is the slow speed adjustment valves are located at the top front
edge of the throat. just above the float chamber. Not at the bottom of the
carb where it is indicated to go in my manual. I tried swapping with the
small flathead screw that is there now but the needle vave will only go in
about one turn and I didn't want to force it.
The engine runs ok at higher speeds but not at annything below 2000rpm.
Also I installed Grose jets and adjusted the floats slightly to prevent
flooding. Which it did before adjustment.
Is tthere an exact setting for the floats and if so what is it.

Anyway, thanks for any info.
