Taking off knock-offs

Another way to look at it, is that to take off the wheels you need more power and leverage (because they are usually stuck) and the short side is directly in line with the center of the knock off while the longer side slopes away from the outside of the knock off.

Also, knock off's are designed so that forward motion of the car will tighten them, not loosen them. So when a wheel spins forward, the knock off will spin the opposite way. So, to take a knock off off you need to rotate it in the same direction as the wheel going forward.
