Thank you all for your comments on the gearbox oil and the headlamp rings.

I can proudly announce that Alpine "70-76-SP" after more then 12 years off the road and being not much more then a rustbucket is actually driving again and once more in its former glory ! Her first outing wasn't that successfull but now she really behaves and quite nicely too !

The clutch is finally working on a bigger main cilinder (3/4 " dia). As a result of a missing non return ball in the accellerator pump of the twin choke Solex she didn't want to go over 50 km/h but that's solved by a ball bearing from a bicycle.

So it's now down to testdriving, bug solving, and finishing touch work. She will be technically tested next wednesday two days before being used for my cousins wedding, hopefully then the sunbeams will be out in force !
