No -  the vacuum for the distributor comes off the carb. It is a ported 
vacuum take off, meaning that when the throttle plate is closed the 
vacuum port is covered and vacuum is not present. Under driving 
conditions when the car in under load or accelerating the vacuum causes 
the distributor to retard the ignition to prevent pinging. At cruising, 
there is little vacuum and the ignition advances.
 
The manifold take off on the manifold is for the PCV system.
