Subject: new Alpine IV GT launched

It's getting brighter on the road !
Yes one more Alpine legally back on the road and it served well
as wedding car on its first major outing !
All was just in time: got the car back from the dealer with a valid
technical certificate on thurday and the next day was the wedding.
The weather was cloudy but warm so no hardtop was needed.
The Alpine and of course the wedded couple drew a lot of attention.
I did about 260 km that day and the only thing that happened was
a broken water temp sensor wire, not bad for a car that didn't drive
for over 12 years.
Only in the afternoon I had to rush back from the restaurant to get
to the garage to put the hardtop back on as it started to rain and
you guessed it I was soaked when I arrived !
So the next thing I'll do is get a new softtop on it.
Another thing which needs attention is the rev counter which showed
5000 rpm at 90 km/h and I was in 4th gear so whats wrong with that ?
Can it somehow be adjusted or do I have to take it apart ?
Many thanks in advance,
Bert Clewits
