There's also a good article on Snipe Hunting in the current British Car
magazine. Also in the same mag is a great column by Graham Robson describing
the 1959 RAC Rallye in a Rapier. Lastly, there's an article on the current
market for various British marques. The description of the non-Tiger/Alpine
Rootes market and their owners is quite interesting.

A question for any SuperSnipe owners out there: Last year I spotted a
SuperSnipe estate wagon for sale at the Vancouver, BC All-Brit Field Meet
swap meet. It was of the last body style, which came out in 1959 and lasted
until 66-67, but the grill was different from any other I've seen. Did the
first year's car have a different grill from subsequent cars? (The car
appeared to have been LIVED IN in the not-too-distant past, so it wouldn't
surprise me if the owner had simply found a similar sized grill to replace a
dented original.) Graham Robson's book, Cars of the Rootes Group, doesn't
have a picture of the 1959 model.
