Tom,
The center sun visor bracket that fits behind the rear view
mirror is not the problem one. In my experience, it holds up OK.
The problem brackets are the ones on the ends, particularly the
driver's side because that visor gets pushed up and down more
often. Anyway, Steve L. tells me that Rick (and Tiger Tom, I
would assume) now have repro brackets in stainless steel. Given
my experience with the chrome originals, I'd recommend the
repros.
