"Okay, for the record, I checked last night in
the original Rootes parts books and for the
1725 engine it is clearly a ......(drum roll
please)......FOUR-BLADED FAN, part number 1214675,
same as for the Series 3 and IV! Those of you
with six, eight, or one-bladed fans you do not
have a rare option, you have a fan blade from
a AMC Pacer or something!"
***** NOTES from Jay Laifman (JLAIFMAN (at) PNM) at 8/6/96 9:32a
Since I take offense at the suggestion that anything on
my car may have any connection whatsoever to an AMC
Pacer, I must respond. Your response only talks about
Series III and IV. As I said, my car is a very late
Series V (which does have minor differences from early
and even late Series V's). Did your book list a fan
blade for Series V's as well? Also, I understand that
some part numbers may have remained the same, while the
actual part provided by the supplier with the number changed.
Maybe that would explain it as well.
AMC Pacer, hmph!
