Not too long ago, there was a discussion on the British Cars list about
delay in getting oil pressure on start-up. Much of the discussion focused
on how the delay was caused by the oil pressure building in the oil guage
itself, or the line that leads up to the guage, and not the engine. I
realize that clattering engines on start up are a sign of no oil. But,
some of the seconds people are counting here may also be the guage and the
line.
