<In the late 1960s (maybe early 70's?) Carroll Shelby prepared 914/6s
for racing. The big competition was the Datsun 240Z. Generally the
Zs did better. I suspect this result had something to do with the
limited production of 914/6- that and the price compared to the 914.

Hi Roland,
More and more, I'm beginning to like these cars, and the beauty of it is you can
stuff some pretty powerful boxer motors in 'em! The one Dave has is dead stock
and would have been more fun if it had wider rubber.
