After reading my Series I to IV Alpine workshop manual, I have some
questions to why the manual says to remove the sump during a camshaft
change. I was able to do it without, and can see no reason for doing so.
Also I had to remove the motor mounts and jack the engine up to allow the
cam to be removed through the grill area.
Setting the oil pumps position for the distrubutor was not a problem.
Any ideas what our friends across the pond were thinking, or have I
overlooked something really obvious.
