Me too!  That's why I'm going to chase this ARP rod bolt thing down.
I guess it's just for giggles, but I want to see what sort of performance
I can squeeze out of the Sunbeam motor before I go foolin' around
with a different powerplant.
I'd probably go with the Capri V6 though.  There was a Series V at
the San Diego British Car Day a couple of weeks ago with a supercharged
(aka "Blown") 2.8L Capri motor.  What a RIDE that must be!  My daily driver 
is
a 2.8L Capri.  It's a very strong motor, even in it's "naturally aspirited"
Calilfornia emission-controlled configuration.  I can't imagine it 
unrestricted
and unleashed in an Alpine like that.

You'll be cool.  Even for a street car, though, I'd consider new rod bolts,
especially if yours are all loose like all of mine are.

I think a lot of people would.  We'll just have to wait for the man from ARP
