Scott, when I tried this, the two would not mate together as the clutch
bearing assembly was a tad too tall and fouled on the clutch housing and
we could not mate the bell housing with the engine. We used the earlier
Series assembly and that solved the problem ( I think I've got that the
right way round!) Also the late series V has a different no. of splines
on the shaft so watch out for that - otherwise it is well worth the
effort.
