petrol smell + air lock

by a loosely fitted clip on the hose connecting the filling up gas cap to
the tank.

Many thanks from me, allso. I have a minor problem with that small diameter
tube connecting petrol tanks together. When it works, both tanks fill and
give petrol normally.
But if tanks are filled to top, petrol gets into that pipe and cause an air
lock, and then left side tank don't fill.
Is there some mistake in rebuild, or is this general weaknes of late Alpines?
