It sounds more like Tire pressure. difficult slow turning, and high
speed looseness. What you described sounds like the car is swaying back
and forth. The Alpine steering will want to self correct for this
swaying action. It just like a speed wobble on a motorcycle. If you
let it go, it will eventually put you side ways, or upside down....Not
what you want to do at 70+ mph.
Once the tire pressures are set at the max for the tires, test it
again. Also check the rest of the suspension mounts, sway bars and
shocks. It can all have a drastic effect on high speed handling and
stability, if something is loose, worn out of just plain missing. If
everything looks OK, but the steering still seems way to sensitive, have
the alignment checked at a good alignment shop. They will be able to
tell how each of the settings can affect the handling of the car.
