There is of course, no booster in a series I. The four port connector sends
the brake fluid off to the wheels. The electrical type fitting is the switch
which turns on the brake lights when there is pressure in the system.

You shouldn't need a booster. The last owner put a booster in mine and when
I first test drove it I touched the pedal lightly as we approached the first
corner and we were both nearly thrown through the windscreen. It was nice
to use so little pressure when driving around town but for the quick top in
the wet it was nigh impossible not to lock up the wheels. So the booster
came out and the pressure needed at the pedal is close to perfect for feel
and control.
