As a Journeyman weldor, I would advise against most machines in the
price range you mention. You will likely find that these machines have
no (or very limited) adjustment, do not have the capacity they
advertise, have 10% duty cycle (or lower) and, limited (or no) parts
availability. Also, these limitations would not let you develop any real
skill at welding. Much better to spend your money on better quality
machines that have some range and will not become boat anchors with the
first break-down!
