Subject: starter solenoid wiring

I inadvertently snapped off a connection on my starter solenoid. I got a ne
w
one (Commercial Ignition Brand)from S.S but it is not like the original on m
y
SV. That's OK with me as long as it works. The probelm is that this new on
e
has 2 large bolts sticking out as electrical connections, one medium size
bolt and one small slide on connector. My old one only had the 2 large
connections and one small one. 1) How do I wire up this new one? 2) If I
experiment, can I hurt anything? I think I can just recreate the current
wiring to the 2 large connections, the others I would have to experiment
with.
Thanks,
Chris

I am a little confused here. I thought you need four connections. Two
bolts with nuts to attach the power line from the battery and to the
starter, one tab for the key switch power wire and one tab for the full
12V to the coil on start. If you are just talking about the two bolts
here, my guess is that it should not matter which post you use for
which. I would probably put the battery line and the other "non-keyed"
power wires that go to there on the bigger one - for no real reason.
