More solenoid blues

My ammeter is wired directly from my solenoid, my wiring schematics doesn't
show an ammeter. Is this where it is supposed to come from? In general, my
wiring doesn't exactly agree with the schematics in the Autobook manual
(Minx, Alpine 5, Rapier, etc), probably a 90% match. Are there any good
Alpine 5 wiring diagrams on a web page somewhere?
