Scott,

I leave my cars 2 - 3 months at a time without running and have
never had a problem starting them or have caused any abnormal wear. The 1954
Drophead coupe has been treated this way for the past 35 years I have owned
it and it runs as well as it did when I bought it. Years ago if I was going
to leave them for six months or more, the last time running I would remove
the plugs and squirt a quantity of oil in each cylinder and turn the engine
over a few times without the plugs in and leave it this way (refit the plugs).

Before starting, remove the plugs (disconnect the coil lead from the
distributor) and turn the engine over until you get oil pressure showing on
the gauge to ensure the bearings are lubricated, refit the plugs and go have
fun!

Later,
Bob
